The enhanced access service is delivered by Central Durham GP Providers ltd. Central Durham GP Providers deliver an enhanced access service for both Durham East & Durham West PCNs. The Enhanced Access Service offers appointments on Weekday Evenings (6.30-9pm) and Saturdays (9am – 5pm) to patients registered at the surgeries below: Belmont, Bowburn & Sherburn Surgeries Chastleton Medical Group Cheveley Medical Centre Coxhoe Medical Practice Dunelm Medical Practice The Medical Group West Rainton Surgery To book into an appointment please contact reception and request an appointment during enhanced access service hours. You can call NHS 111 where advisors will help you get the care you need. The call handler may refer you to an appointment at one of the Enhanced Access Service Hubs. Please be aware this is NOT a walk-in service. You MUST have an appointment. Where Will You Be Seen? The Enhanced Access Service operates from two Hub sites. Subject to availability you may choose which location is most convenient: Meadowfield Surgery (Adrian Clark House, Sawmills Lane, Meadowfield, DH7 8NH) Belmont Surgery (Broomside Lane, Belmont, Durham, DH1 2QW) Who can you see? You can pre-book a routine appointment with a: GP Advanced Nurse Practitioner Practice Nurse Health Care Professionals All staff will provide you with the highest level of care. Clinical staff are a mix of staff from Durham East & West practices.

The car park at the side of the building has two parking spaces reserved for patients displaying a disabled sticker and allows easy access for the disabled or elderly with ramps leading from the car park to the front door of the surgery and to a rear door. A doorbell is available to ring for assistance if you need to enter via the rear door and ramp. The front entrance has recently been updated with push pad automatic doors. The reception desk has been altered to enable patients in wheelchairs to speak to a receptionist.
